Transportation Services

We understand the challenges some may face when traveling to Huntsville. As an individual needing prosthetic service, you may be conditioned to believe that those services should be provided locally. You are conditioned to believe this, even though you may not be functioning at the level that is desired.

“What you have to weigh out as an amputee is, are you currently satisfied with your ability, with your level of comfort.” says Keith Watson, owner of Fourroux.  “And decide, if the decision to travel is worth the quality of life you could achieve.” 

If a decision is made that you want to improve your quality of life, naturally you will have questions regarding the travel to Fourroux.  Common questions, include:

• Where is Fourroux?
• How far away is Huntsville?
• Who is going to pay for my Travel?
• Who will help me get there?

As a courtesy to our qualified patients, we help provide transportation services to our facility for appointments. These services may include one, or a combination of the following accommodations:

• Transportation
• Hotel Accommodations

For patients within driving distance, you may opt to drive yourself or have someone accompany you on your trip to Fourroux. For those that do not prefer to drive, our driver may pick you up for the appointment in our handicap accessible vehicle and return you to your home after the appointment.

Our van is ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant and is equipped with an electronic wheel chair/scooter lift and tie down straps to secure the mobility device and passenger.

For those outside the local driving area, additional services may be provided that include airline travel, train, or bus. The type of transportation will be chosen with you in mind, depending on your needs or desires.  Please let our office staff know at the time you make your appointment what service you prefer.

Additional questions that you may have regarding Fourroux service are also important. These are all important questions, and ones that need to be answered.  Questions such as:

• How long am I going to be there?
• What are they going to do for me while I am there?
